AMJ Land wanted its project name, Green’s, and its logo to glow from the top of a new residential tower, readable from about half a kilometre away. We built the letters from 3 mm aluminium sheet with Osram LEDs inside, and fixed them from a gondola onto a steel frame bolted into the building’s RCC beams.

A sky sign is a different job from a shop board. The letters are huge, they go at the top of a sheer tower with no access, and they must stand up to wind, rain and sun for years with nobody able to reach them. The wall itself is hollow concrete block, which fixings can work loose from over time.
Before making anything, we built sample letters in the brand’s green and blue acrylic and lit them two ways: with coloured LEDs and with natural white LEDs. The client chose the coloured acrylic with natural white LEDs. Sampling took a week.
Each letter is hollow, made from 3 mm aluminium sheet welded together, about three and a half times the thickness of the 0.85 mm sides on our shop-board letters. Aluminium does not rust.
Inside are about 500 Osram LED modules, four LEDs to a module, 1.8 W each, behind blue and green acrylic faces in the brand colours.
On site, a painted MS frame was bolted with anchor bolts into the RCC beams hidden in the wall, never into the hollow blocks. The letters were then fixed onto the frame.
Our team worked from a gondola hung from the terrace, in harnesses with a safety line, with the builder’s permission.
A turnkey job: proposal, fabrication, transport, the frame, wiring, the gondola and installation were ours; the sky-sign licence was on the client’s side. Sachin from our team led the fabrication and the installation.
In 2026, two years on, it is still glowing, with no LED failures.
