Insta Owl’s office is high up on a tall building, and the institute wanted its name read from the road. We made a 10 x 3 ft 3D LED acrylic board and fixed it right at the front edge of the balcony, hung from the slab above and braced back to the wall with steel brackets, so it looks as if it floats.

A board on the wall inside the balcony would have hidden behind the glass railing and been hard to see from below. Insta Owl wanted it right at the front edge, facing the road, so passers-by could read it from a distance. Their brand colour is also a white-to-blue gradient, and ACP sheets come only in solid colours.
The base panel is ACP over an aluminium pipe frame. To get the brand’s white-to-blue gradient, we printed it on outdoor-grade, weatherproof vinyl and pasted it on the ACP.
The owl logo and every letter are made entirely of acrylic, about 2.5 in deep and hollow inside: the front face and the side skirt are both acrylic, with no aluminium profile, and each letter’s sides are colour-matched to its face, so the blue, red, green and yellow letters read as solid colour from every angle. Hundreds of LEDs inside make the name glow bright at night.
The board hangs from the slab above the balcony, so it seems to float at the front edge. Hanging alone would let a board this size swing or come loose, so we also fixed steel brackets on its back that run to the wall about 3 ft behind. Anchored at the top and braced at the back, it stays put.
Our team made, delivered and installed the board. (The vertical owl sign on the side wall, seen in the first photo, is by another vendor.)
