Amar Renaissance, a housing society in Sopan Baug, Pune, had already built its entrance pylon and wanted it to look classy. We gave it a lit rose gold R, the society’s name in rose gold steel on lit contour boxes, and SOPAN BAUG below. The twist: the name’s script letters were too small to light, so we lit around them.
Six stops, from the plain pylon to the lit gate. Photos from the workshop and the site, November 2025.

The society had built a tall pylon at its entrance: a steel frame wrapped in white ACP, 4 ft wide and 12 ft tall. The managing committee asked for one thing: make it look classy.
02 / 06
Four or five layouts and three meetings later, the proposal placed the R, the name and SOPAN BAUG on the pylon to the inch, listed the LEDs inside each lit part, and showed the pylon by day and by night on a photo of the real thing. The committee picked rose gold from our gold, silver and rose gold samples, to go with the wooden gate behind.
03 / 06
About 18 in tall, with a 2.5 in deep rose gold aluminium side, a white acrylic face and warm white LEDs inside. It glows from the front, and it is drilled straight onto the ACP.
04 / 06
The name’s script letters are only about 6 in tall: no room inside for LEDs. Each word became a lit contour box with the same rose gold side and a white acrylic face, and the letters, laser-cut from rose gold stainless steel, sit on top.
05 / 06
Switched on, the R glows and each box throws warm white light around its letters, which stay crisp and dark against it.

A full-size paper stencil marked every piece on the ACP, so it all went up straight. The lit pieces are drilled on, the flat steel letters pasted with 3M tape, and the wiring and power supply hide inside the hollow pylon. Three kinds of letters on one pylon: a lit R, the lit name, and SOPAN BAUG in rose gold below, not lit.
The society’s managing committee had built a tall pylon at the gate, a steel frame wrapped in white ACP, and asked us to brand it. They had no design in mind, only one wish: whatever we did had to look premium and classy, by day and at night.
The proposal went through four or five layouts and three meetings over a couple of months: the R monogram on top, the name below and the locality under it, drawn to scale on the 4 x 12 ft pylon, with the size and position of every letter, the LED layout inside each lit part, and day and night views on a photo of the society’s own pylon.
Two members of the managing committee came to our shop to see samples in gold, silver and rose gold. They chose rose gold straight away: it works with the wooden finish of the society’s gate behind the pylon.
The R is a channel letter about 18 in tall: a 2.5 in deep rose gold aluminium side (0.85 mm), a white acrylic face and warm white LEDs inside, on an ACP back tray. It glows from the front.
The name was the hard part. Its script letters are only about 6 in tall, with strokes too thin to hold LEDs. So we drew a contour around each word and built it as a lit box with the same rose gold side, a white acrylic face and LEDs. The letters themselves were laser-cut from rose gold stainless steel and fixed on the face, so at night the box glows warm white around dark, crisp letters.
SOPAN BAUG sits below in rose gold letters, not lit.
A full-size paper stencil of the 48 x 63 in zone, taped to the blank white ACP, marked every piece’s position, so the R and the name went up straight and centred. The lit 3D pieces are drilled onto the ACP; the flat steel letters are pasted with double-sided 3M tape. The pylon is hollow behind the ACP, so the wiring runs inside it and the power supply is hidden in the pylon itself.
From the final proposal to the finished installation took about 15 days, in November 2025. A line in the first designs, HOME | PEACE | SANCTUARY on the lower band, was dropped from the final design.
