The wall above Tara Mulchand Sweets in Gangadham, Pune, was plain white. We turned it into the shop’s name: a 10 x 4 ft board of orange ACP on an aluminium frame, with 3D acrylic letters that glow from the front and the sides, the logo UV-printed in the corner, set on three L-brackets fixed into the wall.

Tara Mulchand Sweets is a repeat client. Above the glass front of their shop was a blank white wall, and they wanted their name on it: big, bright, easy to read from the road by day and glowing after dark.
The base of the board is orange ACP (aluminium composite panel) wrapped over an aluminium frame, so it stays flat and firm through rain and sun.
The name is raised in 3D acrylic letters. Each letter has an acrylic face and an acrylic side skirt with LEDs inside, so after dark the light comes out of the front and the sides of every letter. The name appears in English and in Marathi (तारा मुलचंद स्वीट्स).
In the top corner, the shop’s logo is UV-printed. The small ॐ above the name and the green veg mark in the other corner are ours too.
Before it left our workshop, the board was switched on and checked: the photo taken that night shows the letters, the logo and the ॐ glowing, and the light spilling from the sides of every letter onto the floor.
On site, we fixed three L-brackets into the blank wall and set the board on top of them, so they stay tucked under its bottom edge. There is no photo of the brackets, so the drawing on this page shows how the board sits on them.
The whole board was fabricated in our workshop in Pune, transported to the shop and installed by our team. Pritam Bodke from our team was in charge of the job from start to finish.
