Delrico Creamery makes ice cream in Pune, and its outlets keep multiplying. We have made and installed signs for six of them in about four years (the sixth is under way): the English name on a pink melting-ice-cream shape, the name again in Marathi, layered heights and materials, all lit, and every board a little different. Inside, we made the letters, logo and details of the feature wall too.

An ice cream shop needs a sign that stops people on the street and pulls them in for a scoop. Delrico also needed something bigger: one look that people recognise at every outlet, while each board fits a different shop front.
The English name and logo sit on a pink shape that looks like melting ice cream: acrylic with an aluminium side profile, printed with pink backlit vinyl, with the logo in full colour.
Beside it, the name again in Marathi, in letters laser-cut from acrylic with a side profile (black at one outlet, light-coloured at another).
The melt and the letters stand off an ACP base at different heights, about 2.5 inches deep, with LEDs inside every element, so the board looks rich by day and glows at night.
Each outlet gets the same idea, sized and shaped for its own frontage. At the newest outlet the round logo moved to its own spot in the centre, between the Marathi and the English names.

Inside one outlet, the Delrico letters, the round logo, the circles and the pink metal drips by the entrance were made in our workshop (the painting and the ribbed wall finish were done by others).
