The Brahmandnayak name cut right through a dark ACP board like a stencil, filled with white acrylic and lit from behind with bright LEDs, so the Marathi name and logo glow white at night. Brahmandnayak is a Pune eatery serving sattvik food (in Pune, an eatery is often called a hotel).
The restaurant wanted a clean, bright name board that reads clearly at night without the cost of raised 3D letters.
We took an ACP sheet as the base and cut the name and logo out of it with a CNC router, like a stencil.
The cut-out areas were filled with white acrylic, and bright LEDs went behind the acrylic, so the letters glow evenly while the rest of the board stays dark.
A board like this has little fine detail, so it is quicker to make than raised 3D letters.
