Two-tier 3D LED letters in English and Marathi for Jayashree, Viman Nagar, Pune
Jayashree has fed Pune since 1971. For its new outlet in Viman Nagar we made the lit name in two languages: a two-tier English logo on the front fascia, the Marathi name round the corner, the lit letters, the veg mark, two lollipop boards outside and a fluted glass logo board inside.

The brief
The new outlet is large, about 5,000 sq ft, with rich interiors, and its ACP fascia, put up by another contractor, turns a corner: 20 x 4 ft facing the road and an 8 x 4 ft panel at right angles. The owners wanted the name lit in English and in Marathi, from their own ready artwork, in signage that matched the restaurant inside.
What we made
The English Jayashree logo, about 7.5 ft wide, is built in two tiers, like a two-layer cake. Tier one is an aluminium channel painted yellow, on an ACP tray of the same shape, packed with LED modules; its face is inlaid acrylic, a 3 mm white layer and a 3 mm green layer. There is no vinyl anywhere on the board. Tier two is a set of raised white acrylic box letters with their own LEDs inside, so the face and the side edges both glow.
Round the corner, the Marathi name is a single-tier channel letter in the same colours, about 7 ft wide. We also made the lit Multi Cuisine Restaurant letters, Since 1971 and the green veg mark, and two 45 x 30 in Marathi boards for a lollipop pole outside.
Inside, the client wanted his own fluted glass panel used for a logo board. We printed the yellow and green on the back of the glass for a back-painted look, raised the Marathi logo on top in 3D acrylic with LEDs inside, and lit the whole panel with a carpet of LEDs behind it.
Ares LED modules run on UNI outdoor-grade, waterproof power supplies, four or five on this job. We load a 400 W supply to about 300 W and never past 350 W, then add another supply, so the board stays bright and the supplies last.
Every letter was drill-fitted onto the ACP: its base screwed on first, then its cap, held by screws from the sides. The ACP hides all the wiring. Our fitter Manoj and two colleagues fixed everything in three days from the scaffolding of the client’s ACP contractor. From the first meeting to installation took about 20 days; fabrication took 5-6 days.
One slip: the client’s artwork said “Cusine”, and it got past all of us, so the first board read that way (as in the installation-day photos). We remade it free of charge, although the client offered to pay, and the board up now reads “Cuisine”, as the night photos at the top show.
