Three jobs for one builder: Rathi Developer’s site gate, society signs and office front, Pune
Amit Rathi of Rathi Developer first came to us with a lot of questions, after a bad experience with another vendor. Three jobs and about two years later, he gave us a free hand. This page walks through all three: the gate of his Nova Residency site, the Yashodhan society in Aundh, and the front of his own office.
Walk through the three jobs
Nine stops across three sites, in the order we did them. Photos from the sites and our workshop; pages marked “proposal” are from what we sent the client.

Job 1: Nova Residency, a name on the arch
Rathi Developer’s Nova Residency site in Tathawade had a steel gate arch, built by the builder. Amit Rathi wanted a sign on it that people would notice from the road.
He came with many questions: which materials, what specifications, how long they last, what they cost. A previous vendor had let him down.
02 / 09
Redrawn to light well
We redrew the client’s design: NOVA as channel letters with black aluminium sides and mango-yellow acrylic faces, the tree logo in white, and RESIDENCY in its own white box. Warm white LEDs inside make the faces glow from the front.
The letters sit on a frame of our own, and that frame is welded to the top of the builder’s arch. The arch was done quickly, and for less than another vendor had quoted.
03 / 09
The gate wall: layers that hide the screws
By the guard cabin, the RATHI DEVELOPER logo is built in layers: a white WPC base cut to each letter and screwed to the wall, and a gold mirror acrylic face pasted on top. The face covers the screws, so no fixing shows.
04 / 09
Lit from behind, about an inch off the wall
Warm white LEDs behind the logo and RATHI wash the wall in a halo at night. Above it, NOVA RESIDENCY sits in mango-yellow acrylic on a clear base plate, so the wall shows through. Nova gate wall: ₹16,600 + GST (₹4,800 plate, ₹11,800 lit logo).
05 / 09
Job 2: Yashodhan, and a free hand
For Yashodhan, a co-operative housing society in Aundh, Amit Bhaiya gave one instruction: don’t stint on materials. The rest he left to us.
On the granite gate wall: यशोधन in Marathi and the Rathi Developer logo in 304 grade gold stainless steel letters, about 1 in deep, with warm white LEDs behind them. By day they shine; at night they glow from behind. A PROJECT BY is flat-cut steel, not lit.
06 / 09
A lobby logo with no base plate
The society’s mandala logo is about 44 x 41 in and full of fine cut-outs, and the client did not want a base plate behind it. So we cut it twice: in 8 mm white acrylic, screwed to the wall, and in 3 mm gold mirror acrylic, pasted on top. The gold hides the screws, and the two layers give the logo 11 mm of depth.
07 / 09
A name board that never needs replacing
The society name, logo and floor strips are fixed for good. Each flat’s names are printed on a clear acrylic strip held by two studs. When a flat is sold or let, only that strip changes. Our video below shows it up close.
Gate wall, lobby logo and name board: ₹78,400 + GST, November 2024.
08 / 09
Job 3: his own office front
Then Amit Bhaiya gave us the front of his own office in Kasba Peth. He had built a grey ACP front with spotlights, so the letters did not need lights of their own.
RATHI DEVELOPER is in gold stainless steel, 1 in deep. Each letter is drilled through the ACP and held with nuts in the hollow space behind it, so it sits flush and nothing shows from the street.

Choices on paper first
Our proposal also showed the letters on a brown wood-finish ACP, lit and unlit. Seeing it helped him choose the grey. A gold acrylic logo for the reception came with the job; we have only the proposal render, not a photo of it installed.
Office front and reception logo: ₹28,600 + GST, February 2025.
The brief
A builder needs signs that sell a project: a name the street can read on the site gate, a society entrance that looks premium, and an office front that matches. Rathi Developer came to us for the first of these with a lot of questions about materials, life and price, because a previous vendor had let him down.
What we made
Nova Residency, Tathawade: we redrew the client’s NOVA RESIDENCY design as lit channel letters (black aluminium sides, mango-yellow and white acrylic faces, warm white LEDs inside), mounted them on a frame of our own and welded that frame to the builder’s steel gate arch. On the gate wall: a NOVA plate in mango-yellow acrylic on a clear acrylic base (not lit) and the RATHI DEVELOPER logo raised about 1 in from the wall, built in layers (a white WPC base screwed to the wall, a gold mirror acrylic face on top hiding the screws) and lit from behind.
Yashodhan Co-operative Housing Society, Aundh (November 2024): the society name in Marathi, यशोधन, and the Rathi Developer logo in 304 grade gold stainless steel letters about 1 in deep, with warm white LEDs behind them, on the granite gate wall; A PROJECT BY in flat-cut steel, not lit.
In the lobby, the society’s intricate mandala logo, about 44 x 41 in, with no base plate: an 8 mm white acrylic layer cut to the logo’s outline and screwed to the wall, and a 3 mm gold mirror acrylic layer of the same shape on top, covering the screws.
The lobby name board: a white acrylic base with the society name and logo in gold mirror acrylic, floor strips for seven floors, and each flat’s names printed on a clear acrylic strip held by two studs. When a flat changes hands, only that strip changes.
The office, Kasba Peth (February 2025): RATHI DEVELOPER in gold stainless steel letters, 1 in deep and not lit, on the grey ACP front the client had built. The letters are drilled through the ACP and held by nuts from behind, in the hollow space behind the panel. A gold acrylic logo for the reception came with it.
On this page: the photos are real job photos, only light and colour corrected. The drawings and night views marked “proposal” are from our proposals to the client.
