Trendani Productions, a record label in Karaikudi, Tamil Nadu, found us online and wanted its logo on a board for its recording room. The only logo file they had was low-resolution: fine on a screen, but too blurry to laser-cut with clean edges.
We traced the logo again in CorelDRAW and put the gradient back on it, so the laser had sharp lines to follow. We don’t offer design as a service, and this clean-up was a one-off: we did it free, because the board would not have looked right without it. For the sharpest result, send us a clear vector file (.AI, .CDR or .PDF).
The base is a 5 mm gloss white acrylic sheet, 30 in wide and 24 in high, with a stud hole 1.75 in in from each edge at the corners.
For the logo and the name TRENDANI, we printed the blue-to-purple gradient on vinyl in-house and pasted it over a whole sheet of 3 mm white acrylic. Then we laid the letters out on that sheet and laser-cut vinyl and acrylic together, so the colour runs seamlessly right to the cut edge, with crisp white sides.
RECORDING STUDIO is cut from black acrylic. Every piece is bonded onto the base plate.
Four chrome stud caps hold the board about an inch off the wall. We sent the studs with the board, and the client drilled and fixed it himself.
He liked the first one enough to order two. Both boards were made in about a week and couriered to Tamil Nadu: we deliver even large acrylic boards anywhere in India.
