What is WPC?
Most print shops stop at 5 mm sunboard prints. We print on much thicker WPC sheets, 10 mm and 15 mm, and source 25 mm board on request. WPC stands for wood plastic composite: a thick, smooth sheet made from wood fibres and plastic bonded together under pressure, almost as strong as wood. It is used in furniture and construction, and its flat, smooth face makes it just as good for printing.
Sunboard and WPC look alike, but they are built very differently. Sunboard is a light foam sheet full of tiny air bubbles, so it is easy to handle but can bend and dent. A WPC sheet is packed far more tightly, so it is much denser and stronger, and keeps its shape where a foam board would sag.

Both boards carry the same print. Choose by how strong and thick the panel needs to be:

Choose the thickness
Both thicknesses carry the same print and lamination. The difference is stiffness and the look of the edge.
Choose 10 mm for most wall panels, posters and signs. Choose 15 mm when a large panel has to support itself, for example a vertical exhibition backdrop on a base, or when you want a bolder, deeper edge: many clients pick 15 mm for receptions because it looks more substantial than a 3 mm or 5 mm print. Need it thicker still? 25 mm board is sourced for your job on request and quoted separately.

How it is made
A WPC sheet print is built in three layers. The base is a thick, white WPC board. On it we mount your image, printed in high resolution on 100-micron vinyl. On top goes a protective lamination film, matte or glossy, which is included in the price.
We print on wide-format inkjet printers with eco-solvent or UV inks in the CMYK colour gamut, on standard vinyl brands such as Wyte™, LSM™, SGM™, Onyx™ and GCO™; 3M™ and Avery™ vinyl are available at a higher price. Both the mounting and the lamination are done on our industrial hydraulic laminator (see our printing infrastructure) for a smooth, flat finish without bubbles or wrinkles. Lamination
Lamination is a thin, clear film over the printed image. It shields the print from dust, water, scratches and everyday wear and tear, so the panel keeps looking good for longer and can be wiped clean. Every WPC sheet print is laminated; you only choose the finish.
Choose matte for a soft, non-reflective look that is easy to read under office lights and in sunlight, or glossy for richer colours and a shine that makes photos stand out. Read more about what print lamination does.

Built for strength
WPC is chosen when a print has to last and stay straight. A road direction sign has to hold firm in strong wind; a sign on a factory shop floor gets knocked by trolleys and people every day; a large exhibition backdrop has to stand upright on its own base without wilting under its own weight. A thick, dense WPC panel handles all of these where a foam board would bend or dent.
WPC prints work indoors and outdoors. For an outdoor sign, tell us where it will be fixed and how long it has to last when you order, and we'll confirm the right build for the site. For long-term outdoor signs you can also consider our ACP panel prints on aluminium composite. Cut-outs and large walls
A WPC print doesn't have to be a rectangle. On request we cut printed WPC to shape on a CNC router: logos, cut-out standees, arrows, circles such as the spin-the-wheel in the video, or any outline from your file. Shaped cut-outs are quoted per job; rectangular panels are billed at the listed price per square foot.
One WPC sheet is 4 x 8 ft, so that is the largest single panel. For a bigger wall or backdrop we make it from several panels joined edge to edge, with the artwork split across them; joined panels are made on request and quoted per job. WPC is also the base we use for many custom signs with acrylic logo letters.

Installation
Because WPC sheet prints are thicker and heavier than 3 mm or 5 mm sunboard prints, they are screwed or nailed into place rather than taped. Drill them onto walls or partitions in your office, shop or factory.
For a neater look, use mirror-cap screws (stud caps) instead of plain nails: they cover the screw heads with a polished finish. Mirror-cap screws are not included with the panel; ask us when you order. In Pune our team can fix the panels for you; see installation below.

The price depends on the thickness and is worked out on the size of the panel in square feet, with matte or glossy lamination included. For a single panel up to 4 x 8 ft, enter your size in the calculator at the top of this page for an instant estimate; for smaller signs, several sizes or shaped cut-outs, send us your list on WhatsApp and we'll work out the total.
The minimum order is ₹3,000 + GST for the whole order. There is no minimum panel size: small panels are welcome as long as the order reaches ₹3,000 + GST, so you can combine several signs or designs.

Send print-ready artwork at the final size: PDF, CorelDRAW or Illustrator files are best, with images at least 100 DPI at actual size (300 DPI is best). For a shaped cut-out, include the cut line. Email the original file; WhatsApp compresses images. We check the file and send a proof before printing.
