Stop printing on plain white
Most prints are made on white vinyl. Metallic vinyl has a shiny silver, chrome-like surface instead, and the image printed on it takes on that metallic lustre. The result is a glamorous, premium print that catches the light and the eye.
Metallic prints are used less often than ordinary vinyl, which is exactly why they stand out when they are. Images of cars, bikes and watches with chrome details, deities adorned with golden ornaments, and products with metal parts all look richer and more real on a metallic base.
How the gold and silver effect works
The vinyl itself is silver. Our inks are printed on top of it, and the metallic base shows through the colours and adds its own shine. That is why anything yellow in your image looks like gold, and anything grey takes on a classy silver hue.
Areas that are white in your artwork show the bare silver of the vinyl, so they look silvery and reflect light. The video shows the difference between a print on ordinary white media and the same kind of image on gold and silver metallic media.
Yellow areas read as gold, perfect for golden ornaments, trophies and festive artwork.
Grey and white areas take on a silver shine, ideal for chrome car parts and watch dials.
Reds, blues and greens also get a metallic sheen from the silver base.
There is one silver metallic vinyl; the gold comes from the yellow in your artwork.
Three finishes
All three finishes use the same silver metallic vinyl, inks and adhesive. The difference is the surface of the vinyl, which changes how the print reflects light.

Media and inks
The metallic vinyl has two layers: the printable metallic media, about 100 microns thick with a strong pre-gummed adhesive, and a release liner of about 100 microns underneath. We use industry-standard brands such as Wyte™, and unless specified otherwise, all our vinyl prints are made on monomeric media.
Your artwork is printed at high resolution on our industrial wide-format printers with genuine Mimaki eco-solvent or UV inks (how these inks compare), for vibrant colours on the metallic base.

Metallic vinyl is priced per square foot: ₹120 per sq ft + 18% GST for the glossy and sheen finishes, and ₹150 per sq ft + 18% GST for glitter. Each side is rounded up to the next whole foot, and the smallest print we make is 4 x 3 ft; smaller designs are billed as 4 x 3 ft. Our minimum order is ₹3,000 + GST. A single 4 x 3 ft print is ₹1,440 + GST in gloss or sheen and ₹1,800 + GST in glitter, so combine several prints, or order a larger graphic (about 25 sq ft in gloss or sheen, 20 sq ft in glitter), to reach it. You can also place several small designs on one print.

Installation
The print is pre-gummed: it has a strong adhesive layer underneath, so you peel off the release liner and stick it like any sticker sheet. For large prints, the water-pasting method gives a perfectly flat finish; the video shows it on a glass panel, and it works the same way on smooth walls and boards.

Wipe the wall, board or glass so it is clean, dry and free of dust and grease.

Peel back the release liner a little at a time and press the print into place from one edge.

Push out air bubbles and creases with a squeegee (rubber roller) as you go.

Spray plenty of water on the surface, place the print, then squeegee the water and air out from under it so it lies completely flat.
Installation service in Pune: on orders of ₹10,000 + GST and above, our team pastes the prints for you, charged extra and quoted after reviewing the job; on jobs between ₹3,000 and ₹10,000 installation is possible on request at a slightly higher charge. Outside Pune, the prints are easy to paste yourself with the steps above.
