branding on one way vision film is a great marketing tool in supermarkets and other point of sale places

One-way vision film · Perforated window graphics · Mesh film prints · Pune · free delivery across India

Your advertisement on the outside, a clear view from the inside.

Custom-printed one-way vision film for shopfronts, supermarket windows, building facades, office cabins and vehicle windows. People outside see your full-colour graphic; people inside still see out, and keep their privacy during the day.

Branding meets privacy

Brand your glass and keep your privacy, with one film

Glass shopfronts, showroom windows and office partitions are prime space for your brand. One-way vision film, also called mesh film or perforated window film, lets you use that space for your products, offers and logo, without turning the glass into a solid wall.

Here is what makes it special: people outside see your printed advertisement, while people inside can still look out through the same film. You get the advertising of a printed poster and the privacy of a screen, and the room behind the glass stays bright and open.

It works much like the one-way mirror in a police interrogation room, but on ordinary glass in your store or office: a manager in a cabin covered with one-way vision film can watch the workspace outside, while the staff outside see only the printed graphic.

How it works

How does one-way vision film work? The science behind the mesh

There is no magic involved; the effect is a clever trick of the human eye and brain. The film is covered with hundreds of tiny, closely spaced pinholes. Your artwork is printed on the front face, and the back of the film is a plain black or grey surface.

Seen from outside

Your eye picks up the printed dots, fills in the gaps where the pinholes are and sees one complete picture. We naturally ignore the tiny holes and focus on the larger image.

Seen from inside

The plain dark back gives your eye nothing to focus on, so it looks through the pinholes instead and stitches together a clear view of the outside.

Keeps rooms open

Because the glass stays see-through from inside, the room keeps its daylight and feels as spacious as before.

Removable

The film is self-adhesive and can be peeled off later, for example when you change a campaign or vacate a rented shop, without harming the glass.

one way vision as a privacy panel

Important: light decides the effect

Why one-way vision works by day, and less at night

The one-way effect depends on the balance of light: the printed side must be brighter than the inside. On a shopfront or facade this happens naturally in daylight, so passers-by see your graphic while the people inside see out.

At night it reverses. When it is dark outside and the lights are on inside, there is no light on the printed side for the eye to focus on, so the film looks see-through from outside and people can see into the room. One-way vision film is therefore much less private after dark.

Need privacy around the clock? Choose frosted glass film or opaque glass film prints, which block the view day and night.

Printing and durability

Vivid, weatherproof prints for sun-facing glass

Shopfronts and building facades face the harsh Indian sun, heat and monsoon rain every day, and ordinary inks can fade under that exposure. That is why we print your one-way vision graphics in outdoor-grade, weatherproof UV inks, made to resist sunlight, rain and fading.

Your artwork is printed on our industrial wide-format inkjet printers at high resolution with vivid colours, so every detail of your design shows clearly on the glass.

Fade-resistant UV inks

Outdoor-grade UV inks keep your colours bright on sun-facing glass.

Weatherproof

The print stands up to rain, dust and heat on shopfronts and facades.

High-resolution printing

Wide-format printing reproduces logos, text and photographs sharply.

Branded film

Standard films from Wyte™, GCO™, SGM™, LSM™ and Onyx™; 3M™ or Avery™ on request at a higher price.

The film

One-way vision film for every job, standard or long-term outdoor

Every job is printed on self-adhesive perforated vinyl: about 100 microns of smooth-coated film with a strong adhesive, on a release liner of about 100 microns. You peel off the liner and paste the film on the glass like a large sticker.

₹70 per sq ft + GST

Standard one-way vision film

Monomeric perforated vinyl from branded makers, printed in outdoor-grade UV inks. Suits most shopfronts, showroom windows, office cabins and campaigns.

Polymeric or cast one-way vision film

A higher-grade polymeric or cast perforated film, on request, for graphics that must stay on outdoor glass for a long time, such as building facades.

One way Vision films to brand the large glass frontages of commercial buildings that allow people inside to look outside while advertising their products and services to the people on the street

Large graphics

Rolls 3, 4 and 5 feet wide, in any length

Large glass facades need large graphics. Most office partitions are 8 to 10 feet high from floor to ceiling, and shopfronts and facades are often much wider. We stock one-way vision film in rolls 3, 4 and 5 feet wide, hundreds of metres long, so your graphic can be as long as the glass.

Any length

A single print can run the full height of a window or partition.

Tiled for wider jobs

Prints wider than 5 feet are split into vertical tiles, which are pasted side by side on the glass to form one image.

Applications

Where one-way vision film prints work best

One-way vision film suits any glass where you want to advertise to people outside while the people inside keep their view and their privacy. Popular uses include:

Showroom and shop windows

Full-window graphics for fashion, electronics and furniture showrooms, without blocking the view out.

Supermarket frontages

Product and offer graphics on large glass fronts, while shoppers inside still see the street.

Building facades

Turn a glass facade into a large advertisement for the products and services inside.

Office cabins

Branding on executive cabins and meeting rooms, where the people inside need privacy but still want to see out.

Cafés, restaurants and service counters

Menus and offers on the front glass, with a partition behind which the kitchen or operations stay out of sight.

Vehicle windows

Graphics on the windows of vans, buses and other vehicles; see our vehicle branding work.

Want people to see into your office or store? One-way vision film blocks the view in, so choose transparent glass film prints or white ink glass film prints instead.

Installation

How to paste a one-way vision film print

Pasting a glass film print is straightforward. With the wet method, soapy water lets you slide the film into position before it bonds, for a bubble-free, perfectly aligned finish. Watch the video, then follow these steps:

1

Clean the glass

Spray soapy water, clean the glass thoroughly, and wipe off any remaining dust with a squeegee or a clean cloth.

2

Wet the glass again

Spray the clean glass with soapy water once more.

3

Lay the print face down

Place the print, printed side down, on the wet glass so the printed side becomes slightly damp.

4

Peel the liner

Holding the print in place, peel off the release liner to expose the adhesive, and spray the adhesive side generously with soapy water.

5

Flip and paste

Turn the print over and start from one corner or edge, smoothing the film onto the glass with a squeegee or cloth; the soapy water lets you reposition it until it is perfectly aligned.

6

Squeeze out the water

Press out any air bubbles and wrinkles, squeegee out all the water from under the film, and wipe the front dry.

7

Let it set

Leave it for a few hours: as the water evaporates, the adhesive bonds firmly.

Dry application also works

One-way vision film can also be pasted dry: peel back a strip of the liner, fix the top edge on the clean, dry glass, then squeegee the film down from the centre outwards while you pull the liner away. No water is left in the tiny holes of the film.

Installation in Pune

On orders of ₹10,000 + GST and above, our fitters paste the film for you, charged extra and quoted after reviewing the job; on jobs between ₹3,000 and ₹10,000 installation is possible on request at a slightly higher charge.

Outside Pune

We deliver the printed film, and it is easy to paste yourself, or by any local fitter, with the video above.

Final size

Set the artboard to the finished size on the glass, for example 6 x 8 ft, not 6 x 8 in.

Bold works best

The pinholes soften fine detail slightly, so large images, bold text and strong colours read best from the street.

Original files

Email the original file; WhatsApp compresses images and they may lose quality.

Proof before printing

Before we print, we send you a proof on WhatsApp; production starts after your OK and payment.

We prepare your file for printing and tiling, but we don't design artwork from scratch. If you need a design, see our favourite Pune-based designers.

Other glass films

Other glass film prints we make

White ink glass film prints

Opaque white graphics on clear film that stay bright on any glass.

Frosted glass film prints

FAQs

Frequently asked questions

What is one-way vision film?

A self-adhesive vinyl film covered with tiny pinholes. Your graphic is printed on the front; the back is plain black or grey. From outside you see the graphic, and from inside you can still see out through the holes.

Can people outside see in?

Not during the day, when it is brighter outside than inside. At night, with the lights on inside, the effect reverses and people outside can see in. For privacy day and night, choose frosted or opaque glass film.

Is it the same as a one-way mirror?

It gives a similar effect on ordinary glass, but it works differently: it is a printed perforated film, not a mirror coating, and it also carries your advertisement.

What does it cost?

₹70 per sq ft + 18% GST on our standard film. For example, a 6 x 8 ft shop window is 48 sq ft x ₹70 = ₹3,360 + GST. Enter your size in the calculator above for an estimate.

What is the minimum size and order?

Each print is at least 3 x 4 ft; smaller designs are billed as 3 x 4 ft. The minimum order is ₹3,000 + GST, so combine several prints or cover a larger area.

How large can the print be?

Our rolls are 3, 4 and 5 feet wide and any length. Prints wider than 5 feet are printed in vertical tiles that are pasted side by side to form one image.

Which film brands do you use?

Standard films from Wyte™, GCO™, SGM™, LSM™ and Onyx™. If you prefer 3M™ or Avery™ film, we can arrange it at a higher price.

Can it be used outdoors?

Yes. Shopfronts and facades are its main use, and we print in outdoor-grade UV inks that resist sun and rain. For graphics that must stay outdoors for a long time, ask for polymeric or cast one-way vision film, quoted per job. Like all prints, it carries no warranty unless we give one in writing for a specific job.

Can I use it on vehicle windows?

Yes, one-way vision graphics are used on the windows of vans, buses and other vehicles. See our vehicle branding work.

How do I paste it?

With soapy water and a squeegee (the wet method in our video), or dry: peel the liner gradually and squeegee the film onto clean, dry glass. In Pune we can install it for you.

Can I remove it later?

Yes. The film can be peeled off, for example when you change a campaign or vacate a rented shop, without harming the glass.

Do you design the artwork?

We prepare your file for printing and send a proof on WhatsApp, but we don't design from scratch. See our favourite Pune-based designers.

How long does it take, and is delivery free?

Typically 2-3 days after artwork approval and payment; rush jobs can be moved up when the schedule allows, but we don't promise dates. Delivery is free across India: hand delivery in Pune, courier elsewhere. Urgent orders can be collected from our shop in Shaniwar Peth, Pune.
