Why glow signs matter
In a fire, rooms and corridors can fill with thick smoke within minutes, and people panic. The power often fails at the same moment, so electrically lit signboards go dark exactly when everyone needs to find the way out.
Safety signs printed on glow-in-the-dark (photoluminescent) media keep shining like a beacon in complete darkness. Arrows to the emergency exit, the fire escape route and the assembly point stay visible and guide people to safety. That is why night glow prints are the natural choice for safety signage in factories, industrial complexes, offices, housing societies and commercial buildings, where many people work or live in enclosed spaces.
How it works
Night glow media is a special vinyl with a phosphorescent coating. In the light it looks like any printed signboard. While it sits in daylight or under room lights, the coating absorbs and stores light energy. When darkness falls, it releases that energy as a soft greenish glow, so your message stays readable even in a pitch-dark room.
It works much like a rechargeable battery. After a while in the dark the glow slowly weakens; put the sign back in light and it recharges, ready for the next time. The whole process is chemical: no electricity, no wiring and no running cost.

For the best glow, fix the sign where it gets regular light: near a window, or under a tube light that is on during working hours. A sign kept in a dark store room has nothing to charge from.
How long it glows
Every glow-in-the-dark print fades gradually; what matters is how fast. Low-quality, unbranded glow media can go dim within 5 to 10 minutes of the lights going out, which defeats the purpose of a safety sign.
We print only on branded photoluminescent media from Wyte™ and DaoMing™, including the DaoMing DM9200 series, which the manufacturer rates to DIN 67510-1, the standard that sets the performance requirements for photoluminescent materials. Its dense phosphorescent coating stores more light, so our signs typically keep glowing for 45 minutes to 1.5 hours in complete darkness.

Print quality
Your signs are printed on our Mimaki UCJV300 wide-format UV printer with branded Mimaki UV inks, at high resolution and in vivid colour, so every symbol, arrow and line of text comes out crisp. Because safety signs often live in tough places such as factory sheds, parking areas and outdoor walls, the UV inks are cured instantly into a hard, waterproof, fade-resistant layer.

Three ways to fix it

Glow print on vinyl with a strong adhesive back, supplied as a sticker to peel and apply.
Best for smooth surfaces: glass partitions, panels, laminated doors, painted walls and machinery.
The glow print mounted on a light, smooth and rigid 5 mm PVC sunboard sheet.
Best for rough or textured walls where a sticker won't grip; fix it with nails, screws or double-sided tape.
The glow print mounted on a 3 mm aluminium composite panel (ACP): light, rigid, rustproof and resistant to dents.
Best for outdoor signs on metal stands, poles or external walls, where wind and rain would damage sunboard.

Glow media isn't only for exit arrows. We print full-colour artwork, logos, floor plans and custom designs on the same Wyte™ and DaoMing™ media: in the light you see your design in colour, and in the dark it glows.

Pricing
Glow prints are priced by area: the width and height are each rounded up to the next whole foot and multiplied, then multiplied by the rate of the variant you choose. Small signs, such as exit arrows or fire-extinguisher markers, are laid out together on one print and billed by the area printed, so you can combine many different signs in a single order.

The sticker version is pre-gummed, with a strong adhesive under a release liner. Here's how to apply it without bubbles or creases:

Spray a little soapy water on the clean surface. It lets you slide the print into position before the glue grips.

Peel one edge of the liner and start pasting from the top, working your way down.

Use a squeegee to push out the water and air bubbles, so the print lies completely flat.

Finish by pressing all the edges down firmly by hand.
Sunboard and ACP signs need no water: fix them with nails, screws or double-sided tape. In Pune, our team can install signs on orders of ₹10,000 + GST and above (smaller orders at a slight premium); installation is quoted separately once we know the site.

The media has a phosphorescent coating that absorbs light during the day or under room lights and releases it as a glow in the dark. No electricity, wiring or batteries are needed; the sign recharges every time it is back in the light.
Typically 45 minutes to 1.5 hours in complete darkness. It depends on how bright the charging light was and how long the sign was charged. Unbranded glow media can fade within 5 to 10 minutes; we use only Wyte™ and DaoMing™ media.

No. They charge from any light, daylight or artificial, and glow on their own in the dark. Place them where they get regular light so they're always charged.
No. Glow signs shine on their own in darkness after charging in light. Reflective signs don't glow; they bounce back light from headlights or a torch. For road and parking signs seen by drivers, night reflective prints are the better choice.
