print on a prismatic night reflective vinyl signage showing sunlight view during day and a brightly shining signboard at night having high-visibility due the light from a head lamp falling on it

Night reflective signs · Prismatic reflective stickers · Road direction boards · Pune · delivered across India

Signs that stay readable at night, without a single wire.

Custom prints on mid-range prismatic reflective film that catch the light of approaching headlights and send it straight back to the driver. Supplied as a peel-and-stick roll or as a ready board on sunboard or ACP, for roads, driveways, parking areas and work sites.

Day view vs night view of reflective stickers wherein the print looks like an ordinary board during the day but shines with reflected light at night

Why night reflective signs

Road signs and safety boards that motorists can read in the dark

Road direction boards, highway signs and safety warnings must stay clearly visible and legible, not only in daylight but also in total darkness. A warning for a slippery road, a construction site ahead or a sharp U-turn can save a life, but only if the driver sees it in time.

A sign printed on ordinary material is easy to read in sunshine and almost invisible at midnight, in heavy rain or in dense fog. Lighting every sign along a long stretch of road is rarely practical: bringing electricity to it is often technically difficult, and always expensive to run.

Our prismatic night reflective vinyl prints solve this. The film sends the light of a vehicle's headlights straight back to the driver, so your message shows up bright and clear at night, while looking like a normal printed sign during the day. There is no wiring, no power supply and no running cost.

Comparison between the front surface of a prismatic and glass beaded film

How it works

What is prismatic reflective film, and how does it shine at night?

The front surface of prismatic reflective film carries thousands of tiny plastic prisms arranged in a honeycomb pattern. Each prism has a silver coating on its underside, which turns the whole surface into a dense array of micro-mirrors.

When headlights fall on the sign, these micro-mirrors return the light towards its source instead of scattering it. The driver sees the sign light up, even on a pitch-dark road. The moment the vehicle passes and the light moves away, the sign goes back to looking like an ordinary board. This is called retro-reflection.

The prismatic surface is top-coated to accept printing inks, so we can print your text, arrows, symbols and colours directly on it. In effect, you get your artwork printed on a flexible mirror, delivered as a roll.

Flexible, unlike a mirror

Because the mirrors are microscopic prisms rather than a glass sheet, the film stays flexible enough to roll and feed through our wide-format printers.

Shatterproof

Made of high-grade plastic, the film doesn't shatter like glass and resists cracking in high outdoor temperatures.

Self-adhesive

A strong adhesive backing means you can stick the print onto a metal sheet or board and put it up on a pole or wall straight away.

Looks normal by day

In daylight the sign shows your colours and text with a subtle silver shimmer; at night it shines back at every headlight.

Choose the right film

Prismatic vs glass-beaded vs 3M™ HIP reflective prints

We print on three kinds of night reflective film: glass-beaded reflective vinyl, the mid-range prismatic film on this page, and premium 3M™ High-Intensity Prismatic (HIP) film. They are not interchangeable, so pick the one that suits how far away your sign will be read.

Mid-range prismatic film sits between the two: much brighter and longer-reaching than glass-beaded film, at a fraction of the price of branded 3M™ HIP film.

Surface you can see

Prismatic film shows small honeycomb prisms that are visible to the naked eye. Glass-beaded film uses microscopic glass spheres that you cannot see.

Brighter, longer range

Prismatic film shines brighter and focuses the returned light more tightly, so it is made for signs read from a distance. Glass-beaded film has a shorter reflective range and suits signs that don't need to be read beyond about 100 metres.

Best for bold signs

Prismatic film is ideal for bold signs with blocky fonts and large symbols. Fine detail, such as strands of hair in a photograph, gets lost in the pattern of the prisms; for detailed, close-range graphics choose glass-beaded film.

Value for money

Mid-range prismatic film gives long-range night visibility without the price of a branded film. For the longest range on highways, 3M™ HIP film on a large sign can be seen from up to about half a kilometre.

Printing and durability

Sharp, weatherproof printing on reflective film

We print your sign artwork on industrial wide-format inkjet printers that reproduce text, arrows and symbols sharply, in vibrant colours, so every word stays legible from a distance.

Road and safety signs face every kind of weather, so we print them in outdoor-grade inks: UV-curable or eco-solvent, both made for all-weather outdoor use. They don't run in the rain and resist fading in strong sunlight.

Won't run in the rain

The inks bond to the film and don't smudge or wash off in heavy monsoon rain.

Fade-resistant

Outdoor-grade inks resist fading under the strong Indian sun.

Built for the outdoors

The film stands up to dust, heat, rain and everyday wear on roadsides and work sites.

Legible from a distance

Crisp edges on letters and symbols, so the sign reads clearly when the headlights hit it.

Sheets of sunboard are available in different thicknesses ranging like 3 mm, 5 mm, 10 mm and even 20 mm

Three variants

Roll form, sunboard board or ACP board: choose your variant

Depending on where the sign goes and what it will be fixed to, we supply our prismatic reflective prints in three forms. All three use the same reflective film and printing; only the backing changes.

Roll form with a sticker back

Best for: existing smooth surfaces, such as a metal sign plate, an aluminium frame or a laminated wooden panel.

You get: a flexible printed roll with a high-tack permanent adhesive under a release liner. Peel it off and stick it on, like a large sticker.

Mounted on a 5 mm sunboard panel

Best for: rough or uneven walls (stucco, brick, raw concrete) where a sticker cannot grip, in workshops, factories, offices and campuses.

You get: the print mounted on a lightweight, smooth and rigid 5 mm PVC sunboard sheet, ready to nail or screw onto the wall.

Mounted on a 3 mm exterior ACP panel

Best for: roadside poles, building exteriors and open industrial areas exposed to wind, knocks and rain, where a plastic sign could crack.

You get: the print mounted on a 3 mm exterior-grade aluminium composite panel (ACP): strong, flat, dent-resistant and lightweight, and it won't rust.

The price per square foot of each variant is shown in the price table at the top of this page. All prices exclude 18% GST.

Reflective or glow-in-the-dark?

Night reflective vs night glow (photoluminescent) prints

Many people mix up night reflective and night glow signs. Both are used for safety signage, but they work in completely different ways, so they suit different places.

Needs a light source

Night reflective prints (this product)

Reflective film produces no light of its own. It shines only while a light, such as a vehicle's headlights, falls on it, and stops the moment the light moves away. Because it reflects light from a great distance, it is the right choice for roads, driveways and other outdoor areas with traffic.

Road and highway direction boards

Parking, driveway and no-entry signs

Glows on its own

Night glow (glow-in-the-dark) prints

Glow-in-the-dark prints absorb light and then glow on their own in the dark, without power, for roughly 45 minutes to 1.5 hours depending on how well they were charged. That makes them ideal for indoor emergency signs that must stay visible during a power failure.

Fire exit and escape-route signs

Stairwells, corridors and basements

Installation

How to install your prismatic reflective prints

The roll-form print is pre-gummed with a strong adhesive, so you apply it like a large sticker. You can apply it dry or wet; both methods work well on a smooth, clean surface.

Dry application

Peel back a strip of the liner, fix the top edge in place, then press the print down with a squeegee from the centre outwards while you pull the liner away. Quick and clean, and the bond forms straight away.

Wet application

Spray a little soapy water on the surface first. The water lets you slide and reposition the print before the adhesive grips, which helps with larger prints. The steps are below.

1

Clean and spray

Clean the surface and spray a little soapy water onto it.

2

Align and peel

Peel back one edge of the release liner and line up the top edge of the print with the surface.

3

Apply from the top

Stick the top edge down and work your way down the sheet, peeling the liner as you go.

4

Squeegee

Press the print down with a squeegee from the centre outwards to push out the water and any air bubbles.

5

Seal the edges

Once the water is out, the vinyl lies flat without creases. Press all the edges down firmly with your hands.

Sunboard and ACP boards simply go up with screws, bolts or nails on a wall, frame or pole. We install in Pune: on orders of ₹10,000 + GST and above, installation is quoted separately once we know the site; for smaller jobs in Pune we can still install, at a slightly higher charge. See how to reach us.

Pricing

How the price of a reflective sign is calculated

Prismatic reflective prints are priced per square foot of the sign, and the rate depends on the variant: roll form, sunboard or ACP. Multiply the width by the height of your sign in feet, then by the rate in the price table. Enter your sign size in the calculator at the top of this page to see the price for your own job.

Worked example: a 4 x 3 ft sign

Sign size

4 x 3 ft = 12 sq ft

Roll form (₹100 per sq ft)

₹1,200 + GST per sign

On 5 mm sunboard (₹180 per sq ft)

₹2,160 + GST per sign

On 3 mm ACP (₹240 per sq ft)

₹2,880 + GST per sign

Minimum order

₹3,000 + GST: for example three roll-form signs, 36 sq ft = ₹3,600 + GST

The minimum order is ₹3,000 + GST. A single small sign on its own costs less than that, so combine several signs or copies in one order to reach it.

Good to know

Minimum order, lead time and delivery

Minimum order

₹3,000 + GST per order. Several signs, or several copies of one sign, can make up the order.

Lead time

Print jobs typically take 2-3 days after proof approval and payment, plus delivery time. Rush jobs can be moved up the queue when the schedule allows, but we don't promise a finishing date.

Delivery

Free delivery in Pune. Roll-form prints ship free across India by courier. Sunboard and ACP boards are bulky, so outside Pune their shipping is charged extra and quoted before dispatch. In a hurry? Collect from our shop in Shaniwar Peth, Pune.

Applications

Where prismatic night reflective signs make roads and sites safer

Prismatic reflective prints are made to deliver a message to drivers wherever there is traffic and little light, and wherever bringing power to a sign is difficult or not worth the cost. Typical uses include:

Road and highway direction boards

Direction, distance and exit signs that drivers can read at night.

Malls, campuses and commercial driveways

Guidance boards for entrances, exits, ramps and parking levels.

Construction and work sites

Safety and direction markers for open areas, diversions and hazards.

No-entry and no-parking zones

Traffic-control signs, including no-parking boards for gates, that stay visible after dark.

Factories and warehouses

Speed limits, loading bays and vehicle routes in yards and industrial areas.

Vehicle and fleet graphics

Reflective stickers for delivery scooters, taxis and fleet vehicles; see our vehicle branding work.

Need reflective parking stickers for a housing society or office? See our night reflective parking sticker permits.

Design at the final size

Set your artboard to the actual sign size (for example 4 x 3 ft) so text and symbols come out at the size you expect.

Keep it bold

Use large, blocky fonts, strong symbols and high-contrast colours; prismatic film reads best with bold designs, not fine photographic detail.

Email the original file

PDF, AI or CDR work best. WhatsApp compresses images, so a design sent there may lose quality.

Approve the proof

We set up your file for printing and send a proof on WhatsApp; printing starts only after you approve it and pay.

FAQs

Frequently asked questions

What are prismatic night reflective prints?

Signs and stickers printed on a reflective film whose surface carries thousands of tiny silver-coated prisms. The prisms return the light of vehicle headlights to the driver, so the sign shows up brightly at night without any electricity.

How is prismatic film different from glass-beaded film?

Prismatic film is brighter and reflects light over a longer distance, which suits bold road and safety signs read from afar. Glass-beaded film has a shorter range but keeps fine, photographic detail sharp at close range. See our glass-beaded reflective prints.

How is this different from 3M™ HIP film?

3M™ High-Intensity Prismatic film is a premium branded film with the longest range, for highways. Our mid-range prismatic film gives long-range night visibility at a much lower price. See our 3M™ HIP reflective prints.

Does a reflective sign glow in the dark?

No. A reflective sign shines only while light falls on it, such as headlights, and stops when the light moves away. For signs that glow on their own during a power failure, choose glow-in-the-dark prints.

Which variant should I choose?

Roll form with a sticker back for a smooth existing surface such as a metal plate; a 5 mm sunboard board for rough indoor or covered walls; a 3 mm ACP board for poles, building exteriors and open outdoor areas.

How is the price calculated, and what is the minimum order?

By the square foot of the sign, at the rate for your variant shown in the price table above. The minimum order is ₹3,000 + GST; combine several signs or copies to reach it. Enter your size in the calculator for an instant estimate.

How do I apply the roll-form print?

Dry or wet. Dry: peel the liner gradually and press the print down with a squeegee from the centre outwards. Wet: spray a little soapy water first so you can reposition the print, then squeegee out the water and bubbles and press the edges down.

Do you install the signs?

Yes, in Pune. Installation is always quoted separately once we know the site and the work involved; on orders below ₹10,000 + GST it costs a little more. Outside Pune, sunboard and ACP boards are easy to fix with screws or bolts by any local handyman.

Which inks do you use? Will the print fade?

We print in outdoor-grade UV or eco-solvent inks, made for all-weather use. They don't run in the rain and resist fading in strong sunlight.

Can you print photographs on this film?

You can, but fine detail gets lost in the prism pattern. Prismatic film suits bold text, arrows and symbols. For detailed, photographic images viewed up close, choose glass-beaded reflective vinyl.

Do you design the sign?

We set up your artwork for printing and send a proof on WhatsApp, but we don't design from scratch. See our favourite Pune-based designers, or use our free safety sign artwork.

How long does it take, and how is it delivered?

Print jobs typically take 2-3 days after proof approval and payment, plus delivery time; we don't promise dates. Delivery is free in Pune, and roll-form prints ship free across India. Sunboard and ACP boards shipped outside Pune pay shipping extra, quoted before dispatch.

How do I pay?

Production starts once payment is received through the pay link we send (UPI or NEFT/RTGS). All prices exclude 18% GST; give us your GSTIN for input credit.
